*Bill O’Reilly shares photos of Barack Obama in traditional Muslim dress he claims are from half-brother Malik’s wedding saying they prove his ‘deep emotional ties to Islam’ :
Bill O’Reilly shared photos of Barack Obama in traditional Islamic dress on his program Wednesday night claiming they were from his half-brother Malik’s wedding. The Fox News host said it was ‘very difficult’ to verify the exact location of the photographs – a similar set of which were first released back in 2004 by Malik and previously published on – but claimed they were taken in Maryland in the early 1990s. ‘According to his half-sister, Barack Obama attended his half-brother’s wedding in the early 1990s. Malik Obama was a Muslim,’ said O’Reilly.  ‘The Factor has obtained pictures allegedly from that wedding, which we believe was held in Maryland.’ Malik was married in 1981 for the first time and President Obama was his best man at that ceremony. He now has multiple wives. O’Reilly used the photos in a monologue alleging the President’s ‘deep emotional ties to Islam’ have stopped him effectively combating ISIS while also saying he believes the photos prove that President Obama is not a ‘devout Christian’.   ***WHAT DO YOU SAY? *Tony Blair: World Better Because of Iraq War:

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said he believes the world would be worse off today if it weren’t for the invasion of Iraq. Despite praising the effort, though, Blair said he wished he had questioned the intelligence reports that indicated Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The U.K.’s Chilcot Report, released Wednesday, sharply criticized Blair for his actions during the conflict.

*LBN-INVESTIGATES: Roughly 20 veterans a day commit suicide nationwide, according to new data from the Department of Veterans Affairs — a figure that dispels the often quoted, but problematic, “22 a day” estimate yet solidifies the disturbing mental health crisis the number implied. In 2014, the latest year available, more than 7,400 veterans took their own lives, accounting for 18 percent of all suicides in America. Veterans make up less than 9 percent of the U.S. population. About 70 percent of veterans who took their own lives were not regular users of VA services.

*Dwyane Wade Commits to Chicago Bulls:
Chicago native Dwyane Wade has agreed to a two-year, $47 million deal to play for the Bulls. “Watching the Bulls growing up inspired me at an early age to pursue my dream of becoming a basketball player,” Wade said. “I have never forgotten where I came from, and I am thankful to have an opportunity to play for the team that first fueled my love of the game.” The Miami Heat had a two-year, $40 million offer ready for him. Wade has played with the Heat for his entire 13-year career.

*LBN-INVESTIGATES: About two-thirds of shark attacks on humans have taken place in water less than six feet deep.

Mary Surratt Hanged for Role in Lincoln Assassination (1865)
When Surratt was hanged for conspiring to assassinate PresidentAbraham Lincoln, she became the first woman executed by the US federal government. Today, her execution is generally considered to have been a gross miscarriage of justice. During her trial, prosecutors failed to establish that she knew of John Wilkes Booth’s unsuccessful plot to abduct Lincoln, and it is now widely believed that she was not a party to the assassination plans either.
*LBN-SPOTLIGHT: “It is not enough to be industrious; so are the ants. What are you industrious about?” —–

*LBN-OVERHEARD:   ***Bill O’Reilly, who’s penned books onReagan, Patton and the American Revolution — has endorsed “Hamilton” as historically accurate. Spies said O’Reilly was overheard backstage after the show on Tuesday night, telling Rory O’Malley — who plays King George III — that he’s working on a book about the enigmatic monarch. O’Reilly confirmed, “O’Malley’s strutting, tippy-toed portrayal of the 18th-century British royal is ‘on the money,’” an impressed spy said.   ***Sarah Silverman says she’s “lucky to be alive” after spending last week in the ICU for a life-threatening condition called epiglottitis. “Don’t even know why I went to the doctor, it was just a sore throat,” she wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “But I had a freak case of epiglottitis.” According to the Mayo Clinic, epiglottitis occurs when a piece of small cartilage that covers the windpipe swells and blocks air from getting into the lungs. It can cause respiratory failure. “There’s something that happens when three people you’re so close to die within a year and then YOU almost die but don’t. (That was me. I’m the one that didn’t die.),” she said. “It’s a strange dichotomy between, ‘Why me?’ and the other, ‘Why me?’” Silverman says she woke up five days after her procedure with no memory of what happened.
