Police arrested more than 200 people in protests that spread throughout Baton Rouge and St. Paul on Saturday night in response to the recent police shootings of Alton Sterling andPhilando Castile. The protesters in St. Paul forced the Interstate 94 highway to shut down. Pepper spray was reportedly used on some protesters to disperse the crowd. Nearly 1,000 protesters in Baton Rouge faced off against police clad in riot gear resulting in two instances of weapons being confiscated and many arrests.
