LBN – Special Report – Saturday

*Pamela Geller Will Support Trump

Anti-Islam activist Pamela Geller, who previously supported Ted Cruz, told The Daily Beast that she will back Donald Trump now. “Yes, I will support the GOP nominee,” she said when asked about the presumptive nominee. Previously, Trump criticized Geller for needlessly antagonizing Muslim citizens with her controversial “Draw the Prophet” event organized by her group the American Freedom Defense Initiative.

“It looks like she’s just taunting everybody. What is she doing?” Trump told Fox & Friends last year. “Drawing Mohammed and it looks like she’s actually taunting people. You know, I’m one that believes in free speech, probably more than she does. But what’s the purpose of this?”

*Second-Grader Stabbed on Playground

Dayton, Ohio police are looking for a male suspect between the ages of 18 and 20 who allegedly stabbed a 7-year-old student during recess on Friday. The second-grader suffered serious injuries and is being treated at Dayton Children’s Hospital. The man allegedly just walked on to the playground, stabbed the female student and left.

*Canada Wildfire Could Double in Size

Authorities are concerned that the massive wildfire in Fort McMurray in western Canada could double in size by the end of Saturday. Over 88,000 people have already evacuated the area due to the blaze. Residents were ordered to evacuate on Tuesday once the fire reached city limits. Evacuees have been led in different directions by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and some evacuated the area by plane. There are a total of 49 wildfires raging in Alberta, with seven considered to be out of control.

*Trump U. Trial Delayed Until After Election

In a Friday ruling, a U.S. district court judge delayed Donald Trump’s testimony in a federal class-action trial accusing the presumptive GOP presidential candidate and his now-defunct Trump University of defrauding those who paid up to $35,000 for a real-estate program. U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel set a new trial start date for Nov. 28, several weeks after the general election. According to Trump’s attorneys, Trump plans to attend and testify at the California iteration. The three lawsuits, two pending in federal court in San Diego and one in state court in New York City, claim that Trump University lied about instructors being well-versed and experienced in real-estate and hand-picked by Trump. The New York version of the Trump U. trial is still set to begin before the election.
