*Federal Probe Investigates NYC Mayor

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s fundraising activities are the focus of a new federal investigation, CBS News reports. *LBN-COMMENTARY by Mark Baer (Attorney): On Monday night, I sat on the right hand side of Susan Estrich at Michael Levine’s City Talk. It was a wonderful event, as always, and Susan was captivating. It was a real pleasure meeting her.  Among other things, she spoke about the fact that Bernie Sanders and those helping him with his campaign are having the time of their lives being irresponsible at this point. She explained that she and her colleagues did the same when she worked on Ted Kennedy’s Presidential campaign, after it became clear that he wouldn’t win. However, the irresponsibility is greatly hurting the Democrats chances of winning the White House and therefore doing nothing but helping to elect either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.  She showed us the number of Super Delegates who have already committed to vote for Clinton and explained that the democratic party is structured such that the delegates of any given state (not super delegates) are divided proportionate to the public’s vote. However, considering the number of super delegates who have already committed to Clinton, Sanders has no chance of winning the White House. Therefore, he and his helpers are just being irresponsible. As I said even before attending that event, I have lost all respect for Bernie Sanders, a man I used to tremendously respect.
