This month, this year – June 2017 marks an extraordinary achievement –  the 15th anniversary of LBN.

Born in June of 2002, with a mere 500 original readers, LBN has grown to become an internationally recognized pioneer and leader in digital news and information.

Think back. LBN was the original news feed. Before Facebook, before the Huffington Post, before almost all. For the last 15 years, LBN has delivered “fearlessly independent” news and information to almost half a million people a day – in all 50 of the United States and 26 foreign countries in 11 separate time zones – 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All for free. No other word other than “remarkable” properly describes this accomplishment (one that has industry insiders blinking in amazement.

LBN has attracted a passionately loyal audience including some remarkable influential daily readers. LBN is read daily by:   ***12 members of the White House staff   ***3 Nobel Prize winners   ***Over 300 Grammy Award winners   ***6 U.S. Senators   ***Over 100 Academy Award winners  ***37 Professors from Harvard University   ***86 of the producers of the top 100 talk radio shows in America. Extraordinary. The soul of LBN is to present news and information with “fearless independence”. When polled, an astounding 84% of LBN readers felt LBN met the mission.

And so LBN will again lead.

The format will change a bit, but the essence of its “fearless independence” will not.

Instead of delivering daily (7 days a week) short, capsulized versions of news and information (some of which many have already seen on their social media), LBN will turn its focus to fewer stories with a bit more depth. Instead of holding to a daily format, we will share news and information when it’s first available and meaningful.

Humans generally find change hard, but we are convinced that these changes will allow LBN, over-time, to lead, to impact, as it was created to do.

So, as we celebrate an incredible, historic 15 year celebration, we invite you to stay tuned, and buckle up.
