DAVID CARRADINE SEX TOY SHOPPING: David Carradine went to a Los Angeles sex shop he frequented just three weeks before he died and placed a large order for clothing, toys and videos. According to the owner of Susie’s Delights in Tarzana, CA, Carradine was a regular in the store — shopping there a few times a month for years. The owner tells us Carradine owned almost every piece of bondage equipment in the store. The order Carradine placed three weeks ago included women’s lingerie, stockings, a few pieces of bondage equipment and three bondage DVDs. Some of the items were on back order and Carradine was supposed to come back and pick them up a few weeks later. He never did. The owner told us when Carradine placed the order he talked to her for almost an hour, saying he was upset because he felt his wife was unhappy with him.

DANNY GANS’ DEATH RULED ACCIDENTAL: Legendary Las Vegas performer Danny Gans’ cause of death has been ruled an accidental overdose of pain medication. Clark County Coroner Michael Murphy said Danny officially died from hydromorphone toxicity due to chronic pain syndrome — and that other contributing factors include hypertension cardiovascular disease and a disease that caused him to produce an abnormal amount of red blood cells. Murphy says Gans had a toxic reaction to the drug because of an existing heart condition. He added, “This was not drug abuse.” Danny died on May 1 at his home after a family member called 911 to say he was having trouble breathing. By the time paramedics arrived, it was too late.

LBN COMMENTARY By EDWARD LOZZI (long time friend and former publicist of Lana Clarkson):  The 6 year saga of the murderer Phil Spector is over.  Over 100 people came forward to accuse Spector of pulling loaded guns on them-including Michelle Phillips, Debra Harry and many other important individuals.  From all of us to the pathetic group known as Team Spector; your defamatory antics and illegal behavior towards us including harassment, threats by e-mail and phone must stop.  Its over!  The People have judged your Manson-esque leader as a murderer and a threat to society.  Your trashing of our friend Lana Clarkson didnt help Spector then, now, or in the future.

LBN-SPORTS INSIDER:   ***The Orlando Magic won Game 3 of the N.B.A. finals, shooting a record 63 percent in the win over Los Angeles.

LBN-COMMENTARY By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN: I confess. Im a sucker for free and fair elections. It warms my heart to watch people drop ballots in a box to express their will, especially in a region where that so rarely happens. So I came to Lebanon on Sunday to watch the Lebanese hold their national election. It was indeed free and fair not like the pretend election you are about to see in Iran, where only candidates approved by the Supreme Leader can run. No, in Lebanon it was the real deal, and the results were fascinating: President Barack Obama defeated President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran. O.K., I know. Neither man was on the ballot, but theres no question whose vision won here. First, a solid majority of Lebanese Christians voted against the list of Michel Aoun, who wanted to align their community with the Shiite Hezbollah party, and tacitly Iran, because he viewed them as being best able to protect Christian interests not the West. The Christian majority voted instead for those who wanted to preserve Lebanons sovereignty and independence from any regional power.

LBN-COMMENTARY By MAUREEN DOWD: The fun police are patrolling Pennsylvania Avenue. Given the serious times, the chatter goes, should Barack Obama be allowed to enjoy date night with Michelle in New York, sightseeing in Paris, golf outings in D.C., not to mention doing a promotion for Conan OBrien and a video cameo for Stephen Colberts first comedy show from Iraq? With two wars and G.M. in bankruptcy proceedings, shouldnt the president be glued to the grindstone, emulating W.s gravity when he sacrificed golf in 2003 as the Iraq insurgency spread? I dont want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf, the former president explained later. I think, you know, playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.

CONGRESSMAN SEEKS TO END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP FOR CHILDREN OF ILLEGAL ALIENS: True immigration reformers in the U.S. Congress have reintroduced legislation seeking to end birthright citizenship for children born to illegal alien parents in the United States. Authored by Congressman Nathan Deal (R-GA) and co-sponsored by a bipartisan group of 46 other Members of the House of Representatives, the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009 (H.R.1868) would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to change the current interpretation to any child born in the United States regardless of the immigration status of the childs parents.

LBN-COMMENTARY By DEEPAK CHOPRA (Author, Sirius radio host, founder of the Alliance for a New Humanity): If people still trusted the health care industry, then it would be unnecessary to brand Oprah for “crazy talk” simply because she provides a forum for ideas outside of mainstream medicine.

LBN-COMMENTARY By JOHN R. BOLTON: Conservative foreign and national-security policies do not need remaking, rebranding or remessaging. They need not be escorted by prefixes or adjectives, nor do they need “moderating.” Conservative foreign policy is unabashedly pro-American, unashamed of American exceptionalism, unwilling to bend its knee to international organizations, and unapologetic about the need for the fullest range of dominant military capabilities. Its diplomacy is neither unilateralist nor multilateralist, but chooses its strategies, tactics, means and methods based on a hard-headed assessment of U.S. national interests, not on theologies about process. Most especially, conservatives understand that allies are different from adversaries, and that each should be treated accordingly.

LBN COMMENTARY By LISA HAISHA:  President Obamas speech at Cairo University called on Americans to help create a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world.  It seems President Obama is under fire by speaking at Cairo University and delivering this message of peace and co-existence.  What should be under fire is why a president hasnt done this before.   ***To reply directly to Lisa Haish, e-mail LBNElert@TimeWire.net (Please put Lisa Haisha in the subject line).

LBN-COMMENTARY By KIM MASTERS: Hollywood hasnt had a real strongman since Michael Ovitz built up the Creative Artists Agency in the 1980s and called the shots from his sleek I.M. Pei-designed headquarters in Beverly Hills. Theres been such a long gap since he took a fatal step by accepting the No. 2 job at Disney in 1995 that a person had to wonder whether nature really did abhor this particular vacuum. But in the past few weeks, agent Ari Emanuel is looking to some like a contender. His agency, Endeavor, snapped up the far larger William Morris Agency, then, with the speed of what was lurking in the waters in Jaws, dispatched top man Jim Wiatt to that nether region where Ovitz now resides. Can you hear that scary music? Hollywood certainly does.

The site also allows you to create your own Alltop pagea one-stop shop for your favorite blogs and to view the Alltop pages created by other users.

LBN-COMMENTARY By THOMAS SOWELL:“The Character of Nations” is about far more than the fact that there are different behavior patterns in different countries– that, for example, “it is unimaginable to do business in China without paying bribes.”

LBN-RECOMMENDS By JON ROBIN BAITZ (Playwright, Screenwriter, and Television Producer): I am obsessed with the production of Mary Stuart on Broadway. Not only for director Phyllida Lloyd’s sly take, but also for the bravura performances of the company. Yes, Janet McTeer’s riven Mary ascends into a state of grace, as Harriet Walter’s Elizabeth gains in political acumen and descends into a lonely awareness of power. The ensemble, however, offers a demonstration of the boundless generosity of great actors. Standouts include Brian Murray’s elder statesman Shrewsbury, Michael Countryman as Mary’s jailor Paulet, and Maria Tucci as the nurse who has been with the queen forever.

LBN-A DIFFERENT VIEW:

LBN-OVERHEARD:   ***Kanye West is officially back on the market. Rumors of the rapper’s split from tall, shaved-top music video model Amber Rose have swirled for weeks, and now a spokesman for West tells us, “They are no longer a couple.”    ***After a tumultuous relationship with paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and a heartbreaking divorce from Kevin Federline, Britney Spears has found somebody new and her family approves. Confirming Internet rumors, a source says that Spears, 27, is romantically involved with her agent, Jason Trawick. “They are totally and definitely dating,” the source says. “Her dad loves him. He’s the best thing that happened to her.”   ***Kyra Sedgwick and her actor-husband, Kevin Bacon, managed to stay out of the gossip pages until they were among the many victims of the massive Ponzi scheme run by financier Bernard Madoff. “I think the interesting thing about it was that I always thought, `We’re so boring. We should be in the tabloids more. C’mon honey, let’s have a scandal,’” the 43-year-old actress said.

LBN-DID YOU KNOW:   ***In a month, a fingernail grows an eighth of an inch.   ***People whose mouth has a narrow roof are more likely to snore. This is because they have less oxygen going through their nose.   ***While sleeping, one man in eight snores, and one in ten grinds his teeth.    ***It takes food seven seconds to go from the mouth to the stomach via the esophagus.

LBN-QUOTE: “The people who voted for President Obama are just beginning to wake up to exactly what they brought in. The ‘change’ they envisioned is not the ‘change’ they have gotten.”—–Jon Voight.

LBN-HISTORY: On June 10, 1967, the Six-Day War ended as Israel and Syria agreed to observe a United Nations-mediated cease-fire.
