OBAMA: STOP HEALTH CARE ‘MISREPRESENTATIONS’TOWN HALL MEETINGS ACROSS THE COUNTRY HAVE BEEN DISRUPTED BY PROTESTS: Hoping to blunt the momentum of critics, President Barack Obama went on the offensive in support of his health care plan, urging the country not to buy into those who seek to “scare and mislead the American people.” “For all the scare tactics out there, what is truly scary is if we do nothing,” Obama told a friendly town hall audience.

NORTH KOREA STAGES PROPAGANDA SPECTACLE: Festival shows off synchronized performances mostly by children: Some 100,000 performers flipped and twirled in perfect synchronicity as North Korea’s most lavish spectacle, the “Mass Games,” opened in Pyongyang, footage from television news agency APTN showed. The “Arirang” show is a major propaganda machine for North Korea, with the huge cast mostly children dancing, singing and tumbling in unison. It’s one of the few times average Americans, typically prohibited from visiting the communist country, are allowed visas to visit.

LBN-COMMENTARY By SAM HASKELL: One day, Steve Kram, one of my best friends at the company, confronted me about my Wiatt cheerleading. Why are you supporting this guy? Dont you know what he is saying behind your back? I hated to ask. What? Sam Haskell is a Clydesdale horse, trudging along with blinder on, supporting mediocrity, carrying everybody on his back. Really? That was a bit hard to take. The success of the TV department was, for all practical purposes, the success of the agency. If I was carrying anyone on my back, Wiatts motion picture department was included.

LBN-COMMENTARY By MICHAEL SIGMAN (Writer, Editor & Music Publisher): Since CNN’s Lou Dobbs and other loonies merely “believe” President Obama to be a U.S. citizen, and since a new Pew Research poll finds that 39 percent of self-identified Republicans think there hasn’t been enough coverage of the “debate” over the legitimacy of Obama’s citizenship, maybe it’s time for a reprise of CNN’s “Crossfire” debating format: The face-off could pit birther intellectual luminaries Pat Boone and Chuck Norris against a simple close-up of Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate, which, as lawyers like to say, speaks for itself. The soundtrack? The stirring but ironic strains of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In the U.S.A.”
